Meeting at Marneuli Municipality

On October 9th of 2015 SIQA organized meeting between Marneuli municipality board members and Civic club members from Kachagani, Ilmazlo and Kurali public schools. Meeting was held at local municipal hall. The deputy governor of Marneuli Zaur Tabatadze and infrastructure specialist Giorgi Beridze introduce to the students planned work of local municipality. Civic club members shared with board research problems of their villages: Ilmazlo students talked about village roads and gasification problems. Traffic barriers needs near Kurali's public school, Kachagani school students talked about necessity of youth centers and playgrounds. 
Meeting was organized in filled of program "Momavlis Taoba". Civic Education program "Momavlis Taoba" is organized by PH international and is financed by US Agency of International Development (USAID). Program is supported by Ministry of Education and Science

The Georgian delegation took part in training course organized by SIQA's international partners

With SIQA's partnership was organized international training course, were participated two of SIQA's volunteers Tornike Qiria and Tatia Bjalava. Erasmus + Training course was held in Chisinau. 35 Young People from Europe and Neighborhood countries enhance their business skills, entrepreneurial skills, discuss entrepreneurial shills development opportunities. 

SIQA organized visit the emergency department for Pupils from Jandara public school

On September 28 SIQA _ Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives organized visit at Rustavi emergency department, for IX and X graders  from Jandara  public school. The students were introduced to the rescue work specifics, received information about what circumstances might apply for emergency service and to use their services. Students review the rescue equipment and they also get hands-on experience. The visit followed a civic education program "Momavlis Taoba". 

SIQA organized visit at Ilia State university's Science picnic 2015 for students from Marneuli municipality

SIQA organized visit to ISU science picnic 2015 for students of Kachagani #1 and #2  public school. Science Picnic  is one day event, which is held every year in the open air, by Illia State University and with the aim of presenting science in many fields and people of all ages in a fun and attractive form. Students visited different field of Science in 65 different pavilion. The young inventors introduced themselves and showed many interesting experiments. Visit was organized in fields of  program "Momavlis Taoba"

SIQA's volunteers conducted training "What to do while natural disasters"

On September 17 of 2015 SIQA's youth worker Mariam Koshadze and German volunteer Lea Eichler organized training "What to do while natural disasters"for Azeri pupils of Kalilino, Jandara and Gardabani #4 Public school. Training consisted of 4 natural disaster: Earthquakes, Floods, landslides and fire. Participants acquired knowledge of how to behave and how not to act in each case.  At the end of training fun quiz was organized, participants were given opportunity to use knolage gained during the training. 

the first meeting of Board games club at SIQA

On September 11 of 2015, first meeting of board game club was held in SIQA. SIQA's German volunteer Lea introduce a  rules of fun game "Jungle Speed". Communication in club is in English, which helps participants to develop communication skills in foreign language. Club aims for young people to lean more about different culture with helping of fun games,

"Handicraft Club" started the new season

On 9 September of 2015 SIQA held the first meeting of the new season of "Handicraft Club". SIQA's new German volunteer Lea will guide club every Wednesday at 16PM. At first meeting the participants made hangers for school supplies, which is actively used in the new school year.

Seminar on " cosmetic selection criteria"

On August 18 within SIQA's project "Hot august with SIQA" polish volunteers successfully introduces cosmetic selection criteria. On seminar were introduced modern cosmetics product's ingredients used in the production of major groups and their impact on human health. Participants received tips -  what to look into purchasing the products in order to avoid the production od cosmetics. Seminar was conducted in an interactive mode, participants shared various alternative care facilities for the manufacture and use of experience. At the end of seminar participants played fun lottery where they had chance to win variety of cosmetic products.

SIQA's delegation participated in International training course "Restart the game"

On 6-14 August of 2015 SIQA delegation participated  in the international training course "Restart the game" which was held in Estonia. Participants were informal teachers and education workers from 8 countries. The training aimed at equipping participants in non-formal education tools. The participants actively use their knowledge  while working with  young people and youth work.

Seminar on "how to travel cheaply"

On August 13 of 2015 SIQA office hosted a seminar on "How to travel cheaply". Participants were introduced with minimal costs to organize an interesting trip. From Polish and German young people who have great travel experience, participants get interesting and useful information, practical advice and addresses of online resources at minimum cost to plan an exciting trip. 

SIQA's youth delegation participates in international exchange project "European Folk Variation under Polish sky"

SIQA's youth delegation, 7 youth worker participates international exchange project "European Folk Variation under Polish sky". Which was held in Poland, in the city of Lodz. Projects  aim to promote youth entrepreneurship and cultural expression competencies. Through a variety of activities for young people improve team work and leadership skills, also they are introduced in European folklore traditions and culture. The participants were young people from Italy, Georgia, Poland, Armenia and Macedonia. 

SIQA organized third water splash party in Rustavi

On July 30 of 2015 SIQA held water splash party at Culture and rest park. The event has been held third time by SIQA's youth workers. Event was loaded with fun games and prizes. This year participated 30 people, variety age. See photos here

Seminar on "How to behave in Emergency Situation"

On July 18 of 2015 SIQA's youth worker Natia Shukakidze held workshop on " How to behave in Emergency Situations" for civic club members from Marneuli Municipality village Takalo. Azebaijan pupils were briefed on what to do in a variety of natural disasters and events.  The participants also were given brochures on this topic. Civic club members decided to share the information obtained at the seminar to other students in the school and community members, for which they will use material to prepare presentation on the basis of the behavior in case of disaster, and they will conduct workshops at school. Intership program participants rewarding at Marneuli Justice House

SIQA supported and assistance program "Momavlis Taoba" target school's 8 student from the local village Kachagani and Takalo, passed the internship program at Marneuli's Justice House. For four weeks Azerbaijanian girls were helping staff of the Justice house to communicate with citizens in order for them to use justice house services fully. On July 15 of 2015 Marneuli Justice house Manager Giorgi Gogoladze awarded pupils for volunteering with certificates.

SIQA European volunteers have organized the exhibition "Georgia- my second homeland"

SIQA's volunteer from Germany, Lucy Telemann completed the long-term EVS project in Rustavi, with SIQA. She and another volunteer from Poland Ula Wozniakowska had an idea to show the images taken in Georgia. On July 9 of 2015 Rustavi citizens were given an opportunity to see the exhibition of photos that showed volunteers funny, precious and memorable days in Georgia.

The closing ceremony of the program "Momavlis Taoba" in Rustavi

On June 26 of 2015 SIQA organized closing ceremony of the program "Momavlis Taoba" in Rustavi. Participants  over viewed the 2014-2015 Academic year for program target school in Kvemo Kartli Region. Bolnisis school "Davitiani" , Rustavi public school #6 successful school projects and village Bogvi public school (Tetritskaro Municipality) grant projects were introduced, PH international's representative Tamuna Fruidze awarded winners with certificates. Social media coordinator Tamar Gelashvili awarded winners of bloggers contest, with different prizes. Civic Education program "Momavlis Taoba" is organized by PH international and is financed by US Agency of International Development (USAID). Program is supported by Ministry of Education and Science

SIQA opened Civic Education Camp

June 21 SIQA opened Civik Education Summer Camp 2015 in Bakuriani. Camp participants are young people, students and senior civic education teachers from 11 regions. SIQA training team offers training in the promotion of topics like volunteerism and civic participation. participants will improve their public speaking skills and effective communication. Public figures, successful entrepreneurs, PH international program managers will visit camp as an invited guests. Civic Education program "Momavlis Taoba" is organized by PH international and is financed by US Agency of International Development (USAID). Program is supported by Ministry of Education and Science. 

Training for Pupils " Effective presentation for effective career"

12-19 June of 2015 SIQA conducted a training course on "Effective presentation for effective career". Training was aimed to improve high school students verbal presentation skills. Also to explore successful approaches and methods necessary for the presentation, and ease the barriers to make contact with the audience. The club was designed for 7-11 grade students. After completing the course, participants were given certificates. 

SIQA organizes Civic Education Summer Camp

SIQA organizes Civic Education Summer Camp.  Camp is implemented in fields of program "Momavlis Taoba" on June 21-25, of 2015 in Bakuriani. Participants will be from program target schools.  91 students and teachers from 11 region of Georgia. SIQA's team of trainers will provide training to promote topics like volunteerism and civic participation. Participants will improve their public speaking skills and effective communication. SIQA's monitoring team visited schools in Gardabani Municipality

SIQA's coordinator organization of the program "Momavlis Taoba" with invited expert continues to monitor school civics lessons and textbooks at Kvemo Kartli region. Civic Education teachers are recommended about how to have better lessons. On June 1-5 of 2015 monitoring team visited 9th graders of Vaziani #1 and #2 and Akhalsofeli public schools. Akhalsofeli team was also awarded for active participation of video competition, which was announced by SIQA within the program "Momavlis Taoba". Students made videos about bullying and they were awarded with computer accessories and certificate.

SIQA's team met pupils from Rachisubani

At June 4th of 2015 in fields of  program "Momavlis Taoba" SIQA's team met 9th and 10th grader students from Rachisubani. With facilitation of the coordinators students worked on the possibilities of solving the existing need in the village. At this workshop, in order to promote healthy lifestyle, students planned large-scale of sports tournaments.  
Civic education program "Momavlis Taoba" is implemented by PH international, is founded by US agency for international development (USAID) and supported by Ministry of Education and Science. 
SIQA-Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives is a partner of the program in the region of Kvemo Kartli.

SIQA's delegation took part in the international training course "Step up Music"

SIQA's delegation took part in the international training course "step up Music", which was held from May 23 to June 2 of 2015 in Moldova. Participants were from 5 countries (Romania, Armenia, Moldova, Georgia, Denmark, Great Britain). The training course was organized by the Danish and British members of the organization Inter collage & Baby People. The main activities of the project was the creation of Music, lyrics and came up they ways of elimination of discrimination. The music workshop was conducted  by young people from Great Britain,  who were musicians and rappers. 4 young people were involved in the project from Georgia. Sophie Arabuli, Nuka Goshadze, salome Maskharashvili  and Giorgi Gurchiani.

SIQA's delegation took part in an international training course

SIQA's delegation took part in the international training course on "Titanic Affairs" which was held on May 15-23 of 2015 in Hungary. European young people from 8 counties (Portugal, Hungary, Poland, Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Albania, Serbia) were introduced to the basics of intercultural education. 4 people from Georgia were involved in the project.

SIQA-s volunteers organized charity event

On May 25 of 2015 SIQA's German, Polish and Georgian volunteers organized the charity event " To help those who need it most". SIQA's "Handicraft Club" materials and public donations (toys, Clothes, shoes, etc) were collected for children who come from poor families.

Students met the animal rights organization "Friends of Animals" member

On May 8 of 2015, SIQA invited students from Bolnisi and Dmanisi municipality, to meet animal right organization "Friends of Animals" member Cira Omiadze. the meeting took place in the school of Bolnisi "The Davitian". Invited guests spoke to the young people about "stray" animals, their problems and its resolution capabilities.On the second part of meeting SIQA awarded winners of slogan contest. where topic was animal rights. Winners were students from Dmanisi, Savaneti and "Davitiani" schools. The best slogans authors were awarded with illustrated books. Event was organized in fields of  program  "Future Generation"
