Rewarding winners of video competition

1st May of 2015 SIQA rewarded video film competition winner students at Bolnisi city central library. Main topic of competition was Public awareness, SIQA started competition in April between the program "Momavlis Taoba" target schools. Georgian, Armenian and Azarbaijanian schools' students create short video movies about healthy lifestyle, environmental and community problems. Winner was student from Bolnisi school "Davitiani", who made short movie about tuberculosis awareness. Other winners include Bolnisi #2, Savaneti and Mukhrani's student artworks. Winners were awarded with certificates and books. Meeting was attended by representatives of Bolnisi  resource Centre, local non-gavermental organizations and the media.

Meeting with succseful youth from Marneuli

29th April of 2015 SIQA organized interesting meeting with students from Marneuli at Center of civic engagement. Meeting was between  Kachagani, Ilmazlo and Damiangeorarkhi schools' Civil club members, other teachers and students who are involved in Marneuli municipality program "Momavlis Taoba" and two active students from Marneuli , Shahin Akhudnova and Sura Kabulovi. They worked actively in gilds of Civic Education and Teachers Training program in Marneuli #8 Public school. Shaheen and Shura showed new members of civil education clubs, presentation of their work and talked about activities that they organized in the past, Also they introduce number of successful projects carried out by the club, talked about impact of civil club activities, shared their experience - how to plan projects which will solve their community problems. 

Dilijan International Baccalaureate school delegation visited SIQA

28th April of 2015 Dilijan international Baccalaureate school delegation, it's students and staff members visited SIQA. International Baccalaureate school bursars initiated the discussion between Georgian youngsters  about Gender equality and sexual minority issues. They watched and discussed short films about this issue. Students' who are citizens of different countries shared their experience about this topic and how is situation it their countries. Main focus was on Georgian reality and current problems.  Dilijan international Baccalaureate school delegation express their interest in SIQA's activities. SIQA's young workers introduce to foreign guests SIQA's activities, working filed and current projects. Visitors also talked about future collaboration.

Green Action at Marneuli municipality schools

28th April of  2015 SIQA organized planting of greenery even at three schools of two village from Marneuli municipality.in April, for celebrating Earth day, Kachagani #1, #2 and Qeshalo public schools asked  Youth Department of Rustavi city self-government  to give them plants for green action. Youth Department gave them more than 30 implants, which was plant in several yard by Pupils, school teacher and community members.

SIQA's delegation is taking part in Youth Exchange project "Make your career bravely"

SIQA's delegation is taking part in Lithuanian's current youth exchange project "Make your career bravely". The project participants are young people from Lithuania, Georgia, Poland, Ukraine and Turkey. The projects to help young people to self-determination and the future to choose a profession.   

SIQA organized visit at TV Company "Maestro" for students

23th of April 2015 SIQA organized visit at TV Company "Maestro" for students from Gardabani municipality. Head of New service hosted Azerbaijanian  pupils, showed them studios where programs are written and other editing facilities. Youngsters also met with reporters, they talked about their profession, what is required in order to be journalist or cameramen. Some students express the desire to choose such kind of profession and work in this kind of company. 
Participants were 20 students from Nazarlo, Gardabani #4, Kalenino and Jandari's schools, also 4 teacher of civic education. 

SIQA celebrates Environment Day

on April 18 of 2015 SIQA's German and Polish volunteers, organized Activities for celebrating Environmental Day.The rally started at 11:00 AM and continued till 18:00 PM. Participants did  Presentation on sustainable development and environmental topics,Also they cleaned streets at Tashkenti st. and surrounding area of 7th micro-district. Foreign volunteers tough students how to make handicraft production from variety of cleaning wasted, that was found on these streets. The action was aimed at maintaining ecological safety skills of participants and manifestation of contributing and restricting conditions of global warming, also analyses of what is the impact on environment from our daily life. 

Youth of Rustavi was actively involved in celebrating Environmental day, Environmental protection is one of the main topic of SIQA's activities.
